the Waltonian.

i seem to have made the front page. of my college newspaper! they did a front page article on the mission trip we did as coaches to El Salvador in July. how cool. do you think it's a coincidence they just happened to leave my name out of the article as a previous athletic coach? and that they also by accident forgot to mention i'm an '04 alumni of the school? yea. probably. i also found a typo/spelling error in the article. but hey, nice job Eastern!

shoe love.

GPOYW summer fall day edition.

today is a summer fall day. it is fall but feels like summer. so i chose to celebrate the 89 degrees that my car read in just the right ways.... wearing a tube top. and sipping an iced beverage. so why not indulge in my first PSL of the season? and summer-ize it served over ice. don't mind if i do. (and by golly, you can see i've inherited my grandma rosie's pinky finger in photo 2.)

first... i tried the sample. spiced caramel salted frap. or something like that. it was good.

then... a tall PSL with extra pump of the P. half cup ice please.

operation Wives Reunion.

Rach booked her Chicago ticket. and pretty soon, THIS will happen. can not. contain. my. excitement.

Missoni update.

much to my dismay, i called the Target near my office yesterday afternoon to even see if anything was left of the new Missoni line. the answer was no. clean sweep. shelves and racks bare. people were waiting in line for when they opened. my heart sunk.

the opening of this line SHUT DOWN the target website. i mean, c'mon people! so apparently there were alot of people not living under a rock and realized how important this event was.

i do not take no for an answer. so i ventured to TWO other Targets on my way home. yes, they were on my way. low and behold i scored myself some "scraps" still left! i was super excited.

first... the sweater dress which will look smashing with tights, boots, and a turtleneck.

second... the ballet flats i REALLY wanted!! this was a real miracle. as i approached the shoe department, i saw nothing but empty Missoni boxes literally thrown all over the floor. angry shoppers are messy! so as i stood there with a frown, a sales associate approached with a shopping cart and a whole new boxed shipment no one had touched!! i rejoiced, grabbed my size 7, and made a bee line to the check out.

it's ok to be jealous.

Missoni for Target.

in case you've been living under a rock. this happened to today.

come 5pm, you know where to find me. hopefully the racks aren't bare.

Lilly Warehouse sale... yes please.

THIS is one of my favorite semi-annual events. correction, THE favorite.
calendar marked. in pen.

made in El Salvador.

delighted to see THIS while shopping at Target yesterday. yes, of course i bought one! in orange that says Fanta on the front! hahaha not even kidding. oh the joys of Target. i miss you El Salvador!

i wore this?

a couple moments of humor...

i found this shirt in a drawer. in the bottom. while looking for a sweatshirt. the funny part is, it was still in my drawer as if i were to wear it again at any given moment. the other funny part is, i did wear this one time. in 2006. when andrea and i went to visit my friend Todd in Miami attending grad school. my how times change. thankfully. the other weird part is that it actually looks half normal in the photo. and yet looks like it could fit a doll while laying on my bed.

white walls.

well another apartment comes to a close for rach (and I). i was not technically a room mate, but spent many a night on her couch. which she sold. we are both mourning the loss of the couch (my bed). many snowy days and nights spent here. with her leaving, we had one last night there last night since i had to pick up my coffee table and end table i was letting her use. the problem? well there is NOTHING in the apartment to sit on. nothing. other than the toilet and her bed. so we had a real sleepover party last night laying on her bed staring at a white wall, chatting it up while reading US Weekly and playing on our iPhones. exciting night, let me tell you!

here is what our night looked like. in case you were wondering. no reality tv. no wine. nothing...

Silpada jewelry party. don't mind if i do!

my best friend allison hosted a lil soiree of a jewelry party on Sunday afternoon. what a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. with girlfriends looking at pretty jewelry, eating fabulous foods she prepared herself, along with cupcakes also prepared by allison, and a reason to dress up and wear a cute dress! i'll take it!

it was a lovely afternoon.

shoes - Michael Antonio wedges
dress - consignment, possibly Urban Outfitters? not sure.
earrings - Silpada

friday night GNO.

time to celebrate a long-time lifetime friend. my dear close friend, melissa. cheers to YOUR day - only the happiest of birthdays to you!

we grew up side by side. down the street from one another. sharing holidays and vacations with our families. creating dance routines in our pools. recording burp tapes after chugging soda. yep, we're classy like that. running around in the snow with just socks on. i mean, why not? having sleepover parties every chance we got. playing dress up in our dance recital costumes. and just loving life together.

now she is a happily married mommy to the cutest sweetest little girl, Kaylee. but we stole mom away for the night for an adult party night. good old fashion girls night out.

my ensemble for the evening:

World Trade Center Memorial.

coming up on the eve of one of the most devestating days in our country's history... my dad passed along this video to me showing the memorial that has been designed to open on 9/11/2011... every year that passes, it still seems like yesterday.

World Trade Center Memorial video.

get in the expresso lane.

the OPI expresso lane!

love this new color out. had to try it out for a long overdue manicure. i'm relatively low maintenance on my nails. in fact, i prefer to do them/paint them myself. i'm not into the fake style but i enjoy always having my nails look their best with a color of choice for the moment. i decided my cuticles needed some attention and went to the salon at lunch.

so here i introduce to you - Get in the Expresso Lane.

i need some tory in my life...

Tory Burch, that is.

love.

Patent Clines Ballet Flat. - need these in marigold!

great day for landscaping maintenance around our building! meanwhile the PA Government offices are closed today and local roads are shut down from flooding...

it's raining, it's pouring.

it's been raining for days. literally. all day. and all night. torrential downpours. i think Jesus is coming back soon. and i would be ok with that.

roads are closed. roads are flooded. schools are closing. and this is NOT the hurricane we just had a week ago. you can read more at my favorite news station - 6abc!
