i went to a meeting downtown yesterday on finance geared toward women. taking control of your financial future, saving, etc. very interesting, empowering, good content. i was enlightened and enjoyed the morning seminar. however, there were a few observations i made while participating i was amused by:
a) most of the women in the room had a rock on their finger larger than i'll ever see in my lifetime
b) most were over 50 and dressed better than i can
c) the majority could have passed the casting call for Real Housewives of Philadelphia
i was out of my element for sure. i have a long way to go if that's what i have to look like to begin saving for retirement :)
