new shades.

decided it was time to pick up a pair of new shades and i'm quite pleased with my purchase. one of my favorite designers, Betsey Johnson, came to the rescue in my selection process. i've always loved her colorful prints and products, but she makes some stellar eyewear as well! i will never retire a pair of aviators, but i'm now also embracing these round tortoise frames.

highway sunset.

who knew a view as magestic as this could be seen driving the northeast extension on a summer night? love.

fall shoe collection.

i can't believe i'm saying this, but it's never too early to shop for fall shoes? i'm a summer girl. i hate the mention of any other season. but it's something i need to accept in a few weeks, sadly enough. as i cherish the last moments of summer weather!

so i introduce to you, two pairs of new family members to my closet. welcome.

BCBG Generation flats = comfort and style in one.

Jessica Simpson wedge heels. can't resist her line for some reason.

happy THREE years, dana & steve!

today is my little sister's three year wedding anniversary. although she is not little anymore, she is always my little sister and i couldn't be more proud of her. she has a charming husband (my bro in law), a charming dog Gus, and a charming little life in a charming condo outside NYC. her life is charmed, but above all blessed - by the Lord who graciously provides so much love in our lives. honored to call steve my brother. cheers to a lifetime of bliss you've already begun.

a look back at their magical day. dana was one of the most stunning brides i have ever seen. and i'm not just saying that because she is my sister!

photography by Alison Conklin. truly incredible talent.

LWYC round II.

another little jaunt to the lakehouse this weekend brought us Yacht Club dinner II. happened to be Italian night complete with chicken parm, olive oil with bread, shaved block of cheese with apps. and cheap drinks all around. $2.50 for summer shandy! and $3 for top shelf. can't beat that folks. happy one of my bests, rach could tag along.

the best popsicles in the world came out of this "tienda". 35 cents a piece. home made. my favorite was coconut which had real coconut shavings in it. delightful summer afternoon treat whenever we could get them!
