so i caved in and bought one of these bad boys yesterday. can't wait to wear it to 'no shower happy hour' with a pair of cute wedges!

gym snob.

last evening's gym episode:
so i've come to accept i'm a bit of a gym snob. i've failed to remember that when the outside temperature reaches any number above 50 degrees, it brings all the couch potatoes out of their homes and into the gym and the treadmills that are "mine" :) it was a mere 55 degrees or so here in PA yesterday. that is a heat wave for sure in February. which caused everyone to have the "oh crap, i better start working out before i have to wear less clothing for summer" mindset. therefore, everyone in the entire radius of my gym was in attendance last night.

some new lows for sights observed:
- girl on stairmaster wearing leggings and a tight mini skirt from Express. man, i wish i had my phone in the gym with me to snap a picture to show all of you.

- the girl on the treadmill next to me TALKING ON HER PHONE while she was walking along for 20 minutes. yep, just walking.

- the always classic Timberland boots and cargo pants.

confession: i have armpit fat. it's my biggest pet peeve right now. so at least i was productive through this mess of a crowd and was able to talk to my trainer about exercises and lifting to do to target my armpits. silly, i know. but it has got to go before strapless clothes season comes into play.

so moral of the story, avoid the gym at peak times when the weather is nice during the winter if there is any potential you're a gym snob. it will only lead to frustration and rolling of the eyes.

closet bulge.

my fashion/clothing hobby of collecting clothes and accessories becomes a problem when all the hangers are touching and there is no more room to squish them over to add just one more. i've taken over 3 closets in our house. my own, my sister's who no longer lives there, and a walk-in small study. i guess the process of getting rid of old to make room for new is outweighed in the wrong direction... oops.

it's only february...deep sigh. desperately craving warmer temps. so i decided to try on a little number i recently picked up at the JCrew outlet. perfect for a 'no shower happy hour' in avalon this summer. can't wait to actually wear it outside my bedroom.
